On August 2, 2023, Paramore will return to the Xcel Energy Center alongside Foals and The Linda Lindas to showcase new songs from the band's forthcoming album and continue their global tour. Get your tickets now for the first live performance of the new album This Is Why, which is set to be released on February 10, 2023. The alt-rock punks Paramore haven't released new music in over six years, and while their next album won't sound precisely like early 2000s Pop-punk, the band believes you'll enjoy it!
This Is Why, Paramore's sixth studio album, represents the band's triumphant return. Some fans may see this as a return to the band's punk roots, but Paramore believes its supporters are ready for this new era. "We came back to it with a whole different perspective and, honestly, just healthier," Williams says. "We just want to be able to really enjoy this and be present and not treat it like it's just what we do, but feel like we're really choosing to do it. Because why not?"
The trio consists of lead singer and keyboardist Hayley Williams, guitarist Taylor York, and drummer Zac Farro. The band was founded in 2004 in the small town of Franklin, Tennessee, and took home a Grammy Award in 2015 for the song "Ain't It Fun? After Laughter, the band's most recent album, was published in 2017, and spawned the hits "Hard Times" and "Rose-Coloured Boy." Following that tour, the band went on a brief break as Williams recorded two solo albums, Petals for Armor in 2020 and Flowers for Vases / Descansos in 2021.
